The Education Committee will deliver:
- Programming to support new and existing accredited LEED Professionals and Green Associates
- Programming to educate the construction industry on green building principles by offering Green Advantage Courses.
- Policy recommendations to board of directors as needed
- Revenue to the chapter in the form of profitable programming
- Annual chapter strategic plan input
- Annual budget to General Circle
- Monthly reports to General Circle
- Timely information to communications committee for marketing purposes

Education Committee Task Force Volunteer Opportunities
LEED UP
Responsibilities:
- Attends Monthly Education Committee meetings and provides reports on the Task Force activities.
- Selects the date, location, time, and speakers for the event.
- Fills in the CMP Form for events, and forwards same to Education Chair.
- Fills out forms for all continuing education hours (CMP, CEU, AIA)
- Organizes logistics for the presentation (location, speaker, projector, laptop, screen, USGBC banner)
- Brings USGBC Sign-in sheet to the event.
- Does the Welcome/Introduction with Joan Pauly for the event.
- Estimated Time: 1-2 hours per week.
Project Tours
Responsibilities:
- Attends Monthly Education Committee meetings and provides reports on the Task Force activities.
- Selects the date, location, time, and speakers for the event.

LEED Study Groups
Responsibilities:
- Attends Monthly Education Committee meetings and provides reports on the Task Force activities.
- Prepares a Proposal on how to approach LEED Study Groups.
- Sets a date, location, time, instructor, and fills out an information form which is sent to the Education Chair.
- Estimated Time: 1 hour per week.
Green Advantage
Responsibilities:
- Attends Monthly Education Committee meetings and provides reports on the Task Force activities.
- Assists with Marketing Green Advantage to Industry contacts.
- Assists Staff and Education Chair with filling out forms for all continuing education hours (CMP, CEU, AIA)
- Identifies instructors for the upcoming courses.
- Assists with identifying volunteers to help with check-in, who will bring the USGBC Sign-in sheet to the event.
- Estimated Time: 1 hour per week.
Industry Liaisons
Responsibilities:
- Industry Liaisons shall be appointed by the Education Chair in January of every year.
- Attend Monthly Education Committee Meetings and provide a input on the educational needs of their respective members.
- Provide information back to their respective organizations on programs organized by the USGBC Education Committee which would be beneficial to their respective members.
