The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC – SCHL International) successfully sponsored two days of educational sessions in partnership with the Kentucky USGBC. The programs were held in Louisville at the Holiday Inn Hurstbourne on April 25, 2012 and in Lexington at the Campbell House Crowne Plaza on April 26, 2012. The five topics were “Designing with Insulated Concrete Forms” by Paul Camozzi of Amvic Building System, “The Design and Performance Advantage of Composite Shake” by Patrick Smith of Enviroshake, “Reflective Insulation and Radiant Barriers” by Peter Clarke of Covertech Fabricating Inc., “Cost-Effective Energy Savings and Drain Water Heat Recovery” by Joel Murray of RenewABILITY and “Ventilated Rainscreen for Improved Moisture Management” by Tom Karry of Cosella Dorken Products Inc. The emcee for both days was Tambu Kamukosi, Trade Consultant with CMHC International. Attendees earned 5.5 GBCI CE Hours toward maintenance of their LEED Green Associate or LEED AP with specialty credential and 5.5 AIA Learning Unit Credits (HSW/SD).
